MURRELLS INLET, South Carolina (January, 2024) – Legacy Senior Living, based in Cleveland, TN, has assumed management of St. Gabriel Senior Living of Murrells Inlet, SC, on January 1, 2024. Legacy Senior Living owns and operates a growing family of senior living and memory care communities across the Eastern United States.

The newly named Legacy Village of Murrells Inlet will begin a refresh remodel, including a complete redesign and renovation of the memory care neighborhood, The Harbor, Legacy's hallmark brand for memory care services. The memory care remodel will include new colors, furniture and art reminiscent of a mid-century, 1950's style. It is designed to take residents suffering from memory loss disorders back to a happier time while recreating positive memories.

A wonderful family night was held on January 15 with Legacy ownership and leadership telling the history, mission and vision of the company to a full house of family, residents and friends.

"It was a joy to meet the residents and families personally this month," stated Bryan Cook, Legacy Senior Living co-founder and President. "We are excited about the opportunity to serve them with honor, respect, faith and integrity. We have a reputation in each community we serve for providing exceptional care that is specifically designed to meet the needs of the individual residents. The Murrells Inlet community is going to feel the difference in care," Cook further stated.

"A big part of this transition is gaining the trust of the residents, families and team members. Residents always come first with Legacy Senior Living, and we believe that through our mission-driven leadership and resident-centered care, we will become the assisted living and memory care provider of choice in the greater Murrells Inlet, Georgetown, and Horry County areas," said Barry Ray, Legacy Senior Living Founder and CEO.

Edie Quitadamo’s story begins far from where she calls home today—she was born in Germany. But when she was just 11 years old, her family made a big move to the Bronx, New York, a place that would shape her spirit and her path in ways she could never have imagined.
